District 5550 continues to be a district that is interested in promoting literacy in our communities and around the world.  Our District has supported learning and built schools in Guatemala (Ripple Effect) as well as in Nepal, Uganda, Malawi and Bangladesh.  Within our communities, our clubs have supported reading programs, donated money to literacy projects, offered scholarships and created Little Free Libraries.

Our District goal is to help eliminate child poverty and literacy is a crucial component  to achieving this goal.

This web page provides information for Rotary clubs in District 5550 to enhance their literacy presence in their community and the world.
