The club culture of Watrous Rotarians is self-described as one where members get along well, have fun together, enjoy great meals at their meetings and help out in the community, including tending bars and barbecues.

Although the club supports many international projects such as Ripple Effect, Polio Plus, and ShelterBox, members focus their energies on projects in their community.  The local daycare, seniors complex, museum, food bank, Christmas gifts for children, Juniors golf program, assisting businesses to provide breakfasts for children, and helping with Camp Easter Seal at Manitou Beach* are some of the ways they support the community of Watrous.

*Camp Easter Seal at Manitou Beach, is a facility for children and adults experiencing complex physical and intellectual needs who require medical routines, specialised diets, and medication that prevent them from attending other camps.
