To date, we have donated $39,000 to Canadian Foodgrains and almost $36,000 to other RC of Melfort projects from this fundraiser.

Shelter Box Fundraising – As the needs arise, our club sets up ShelterBox displays in the Melfort Mall, and other locations taking donations to provide shelter and aid to victims of disasters such as Cyclone Idai that struck South Africa this past of couple of weeks.  Each time we undertake ShelterBox projects, we are able to send anywhere from $5,000 to $12,000 to ShelterBox Canada to assist in the latest crisis.

Rotary GST Auction for Telemiracle – This February our club introduced a new fundraiser where all of our members donated either Goods, Services or Talent (G-S-T) that was auctioned off at a special Steak Night, co-presented with Melfort Kinsmen and Kinettes.  Proceeds from the Rotary auction totalling $4,300 were given to the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation.

Rotary Park – Our Club is very proud of Melfort’s Rotary Park that was established in a quiet neighbourhood more than 40 years ago.  Working with the City of Melfort, the club maintains and improves the park annually.  Most recently we have restored about a third of the 12,000 square feet of pathway and hope to do more in the near future.  We have also introduced Disk Golf to the area.  Other annual improvements have been enjoyed by families and individuals who have come to “Play Melfort”.
