District Loses a Rotary Club as New Year Begins

With the start of 2016, District 5550 has lost one of its member clubs. The Rotary Club of Winnipeg North has officially given notice to DG Ken Krebs that it will “cease operation as of December 31, 2015”.
 
The club first gained its charter in 1960 that is 55 years ago. The announcement was made by 2015-16 President, Carol Peltin. It is hoped that the 10 members will find a home in one of the other 9 clubs in the Winnipeg area.
 
This leaves the District with 47 Rotary clubs, one of which has less than 10 members and another 9 between 11 and 16 members.
